This book is written by language learners Annika Benoit-Jansson, Hjalmer Wenstob, and Timmy Masso.

Hjalmer Wenstob, Timmy Masso and Annika Benoit-Jansson are Nuu-chah-nulth language learners. Timmy and Hjalmer are brothers from Tla-o-qui-aht First Nations. Annika is Hjalmer’s wife, and they live with their three children - Huumiis, Cinkwa, Tsaahtis - in Ty-Histanis, a Tla-o-qui- aht community on the far west coast of Vancouver Island.
