Handmade Binoculars is a collection of moments observed between Heather Hendry, a primary school teacher and her students, written over a school year in Tofino, BC. She is also Tofino's Poet Laureate 2022-2024.

Heather's work has appeared in Sea & Cedar Magazine, Van Isle Poetry Collection and League of Canadian Poets Poetry Pause. Originally from North Vancouver, Heather lives in Tofino, BC, on the unceded traditional territory of the Tla-o-qui-aht First Nation. She shares her passion for writing through her creative writing club, which has ran for 3 years. Handmade Binoculars is her debut collection.
